Videos of the 2018 Bath conference talks are now available here.
Full details of this inaugural UK event, which took place in July 2018, are listed below.
RECONNECT 2018 – UK Conference
Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th July. Apex Hotel, Bath
We explored the role of electrical forces in the Universe and how they influence Galaxies and Stars. Our theme was reconnection. We invited people to:
- reconnect with empirical science
- reconnect with alternative theories and models of the universe
- reconnect with historical evidence
The SAFIRE project is currently testing the EU and ES hypothesis in a laboratory in Canada. A key component of the conference was bringing attendees up to date on this exciting project, and looking at how it impacts EU and ES models as well as contemporary astrophysics.
Huge thanks to our speakers, attendees, volunteers, technical crew and venue staff.
RECONNECT 2018 – UK Symposium
Tuesday 10th – Wednesday 11th July. Quantock Hills, Somerset
Based at a private venue in the Quantock Hills, this less formal event featured a range of seminars that taught the basics of Electric Universe Theory and introduced other connected subjects. It was a wonderful two days and that will live long in the memories of those who were there. Thank you to all who made it possible.
Dr Donald Scott
At the start of his career he worked in industry with General Electric, and then from 1959 to 1998 was a member of the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In 1987 he authored a 730 page undergraduate-level textbook, An Introduction To Circuit Analysis—A Systems Approach (McGraw-Hill Book Company).

Wallace Thornhill
Wallace was awarded a gold medal in 2010 by the European Telesio-Galilei Academy of Science. He presented the Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA) John Chappell memorial lecture, ‘Stars in an Electric Universe’ in 2011 at U. Maryland and was awarded the NPA Sagnac Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2013.

Montgomery Childs
Mr. Childs has authored two college books on programming and was the lead design engineer working through the Canadian National Research Council to construct a rocket to measure for oxygen in the Earth’s upper atmosphere. He has collaborated with and developed projects for General Motors, Toyota, Westinghouse, Dana, Ford, Magna International, BMW, Orion and many others. He has over 12 commercially viable patents and co-authored a peer reviewed published paper on Plasma Striations and Double Layers.

Sunday – Collaboration and Science
Dr. Michael Clarage
He worked as an experimentalist at the Arecibo radio telescope studying binary pulsars, supernova, and the interstellar medium. His work also includes discoveries in the areas of fractional calculus and chaotic systems. His lectures have shown many new ways to understand relativity and dimensions, transformation in biological systems, and how our understanding of the interstellar medium is changing.
Dr Clarage’s role in the SAFIRE Project is connecting data from NASA/ESA satellite and telescopes to both laboratory experiments and to new astrophysical models.

Jeremy Dunning-Davies
In 1987 he met Bernard Lavenda from Camerino at a conference and a highly successful research collaboration ensued into the probabilistic foundations of thermodynamics. This led them on to investigate and question some of the results associated with the thermodynamics of black holes. He then began a fruitful collaboration with George Cole in Hull on a wide variety of problems, largely in astrophysics and cosmology. In 1996, at a conference in London, he met Ruggero Santilli from Florida and a new interest in new clean energies and the safe disposal of nuclear waste surfaced.
He has produced well in excess of two-hundred academic articles and his various books include: Mathematical Methods for Mathematicians, Physical Scientists and Engineers; Concise Thermodynamics; Exploding a Myth; Neo-Newtonian Mechanics with Extension to Relativistic Velocities vols. I & II, co-authored with Dennis P. Allen Jr.; The Informational Magnecule, Beyond the Veil and Truth in Paradigm, all three co-authored with Richard Norman. In all this, his interests have ranged from thermodynamics to the properties of the ideal relativistic quantum gasses which, in turn, led to an interest in white dwarf stars and, eventually, astrophysics and cosmology. Also, he has been deeply involved with, and interested in, educational issues, something which is not too surprising for someone whose father was an eminently successful primary school headmaster in South Wales and whose mother and wife were both teachers.

Edwin Kaal
Edo Kaal has studied fundamental and environmental chemistry most of his life. After working in the IT sector for 10 years, he began an independent research effort. His journey of discovery led him to revise the atomic structure. He has always had a passion for the expressions in nature and a fascination for science whereby the elements have always been of special interest and attraction.
At the EU2016 conference, Edo presented his re-envisioned atomic structure for the first time in the Breakout Room and at the EU2017 conference he presented SAM at the main-stage. Currently, his attention goes towards further developing SAM and the study of transmutations using the model. He and James Sorensen created Ethereal Matters, LLC, a foundation for fundamental research. He resides in the Netherlands.

Sunday – The Structured Atom Model and Transmutations
Rupert Sheldrake
He studied natural sciences at Cambridge University, where he was a Scholar of Clare College, took a double first class honours degree and was awarded the University Botany Prize (1963). He then studied philosophy and history of science at Harvard University, where he was a Frank Knox Fellow (1963-64), before returning to Cambridge, where he took a Ph.D. in biochemistry (1967).

Saturday – Is The Sun Conscious?
Prof. Robert Temple
For many years he was a science writer for the Sunday Times, the Guardian, and a science reporter for Time-Life, as well as a frequent reviewer for Nature and profile writer for The New Scientist. He is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and has been a member of the Egypt Exploration Society since the 1970s, as well as a member of numerous other academic societies.

Man, Myth and Mayhem in Ancient History and the Sciences (online and CDRom). He has degrees in chemistry and computer science.

Sunday – Is Nature conscious?
Lucy Wyatt
In 2010 she published her book Approaching Chaos – could an ancient archetype save 21st century civilisation? She has long been interested in how the ancients were aware of electrical phenomena and how the amazing civilisations of the past – Egyptian, Mayan and others – may have even been able to manipulate such forces for their own benefit.
As well as co-organising the rest of the event, Lucy will be hosting the symposium in the Quantock Hills.

Sunday- What Evidence for the Ancient Uses of Electrical Phenomena?
Adrian Gilbert
Adrian has been following the Electric Universe paradigm with increasing interest since this Millennium began. Recognising that Europe was being left behind in this new, scientific endeavour, in the summer of 2017 he formulated the idea that an Electric Universe Conference should be held in the UK. In partnership with Lucy Wyatt (who more than anyone has made it possible to manifest this idea) he has organised the Electric Universe UK 2018 Conference.
